Today is the 80th anniversary of when the Germans and Soviets invaded Poland, which sparked World War II. Today we must mourn all of the deaths of the war, Jews, Roma, Jehovah's Witnesses, militaries, Brits in the Blitz, the French, North Africans, the victims of the Nanking Massacre, even those of the bombings of Hiroshima and Nagasaki. All will be remembered whether they died a quick death or a glorious one. Let's have a moment of silence to all.
Thank you. This event will never be forgotten. 80 years hence, lest we forget.
