New Entrants

  • Kicking off our entrants with newcomer Austin Brown and his single called In Betweenin'. To be honest, I don't know what to think about this. It's pretty good in some factors but horrible in others. It's obviously better than Mean but just isn't very good but not bad either. Overall, this is decent but this can change anytime soon.
  • We have the return of P!nk with her song, Walk Me Home. This song has great vocals and content like P!nk's other music. I love the production behind this as it is something we haven't seen much from P!nk. This obviously isn't her best work like So What, Just Like Fire, and What About Us but this is something that I hope becomes a hit.
Best Debut of the Week: P!nk - Walk Me Home

Walk Blurbs Home
  • We have a new #1 in the form of Sucker, reaching the top in just three weeks. It's obvious becuase it debuted at #7 and I did expect it to get it so quick. I'm anticipating Sweet But Psycho and Who Do You Love may reach the top spot quickly given Hits 1's frequent AirPlay of the former and the latter, well let's just say that they're major stans of both acts.
  • Who Do You Love leaped straight into the Top 5. Of course I'm pretty sure 95% of us are happy about this. It was expected because Hits 1 stans The Chainsmokers and 5 Seconds of Summer so I'm sure it will reach #1 in the next month or two even though it's hovering around the bottom half of Billboard Hot 100.
  • It's good to have Happier finally going on a decline. We don't need this filler in our Top 10 so hopefully we can keep it out. There's much better music we are able to have there like This Feeling, Dancing With A Stranger, and Shallow. Plus, with Marshmello's new and much better track Here With Me starting to gain steam and Halsey - Without Me out of the Top 5, we might start seeing a new era within our top half of the countdown.
  • Let Me Down Slowly oompfed down eight spots to #12. I'm not feeling the best about this though if it starts falling even more, I know it had an amazing run. Alec Benjamin needs to be pumping out more music so he can actually gain recognition on this radio as he is underrated and needs more steam on the radio. I don't think Let Me Down Slowly even made it onto Billboard Hot 100. Oh well, it did great.
  • Shallow took a massive leap straight into the Top 20. I want to review this song as it is a very good song. The production is beautifully done and Bradley Cooper had very good vocals. Lady Gaga did good as always and the duo between the two was probably the most notable part of the song. Their voices combine together so well and the production in the back makes it clash even more. Overall, Shallow is such a good song and I think Hits 1 is making up for the horrible run it had in December.
  • 2002 is finally losing steam which is good for our radio. We don't need any more of Anne-Marie's crap especially after that disaster called Don't Leave Me Alone. The only truly good thing she was part of was Rockabye and she didn't really even contribute to that. She's one of the worst pop artists I've seen from last year and we don't need our countdown crowded of easily disposable garbage, just let this one fall. (inb4 it justs hangs around in the Bottom 10 for what feels like an eternity)
  • Womp. Natural just fell into the Bottom 5. Well that was going to happen, hopefully this holds out for a while longer. I mean it needs that AirPlay, it's been around for several months. Make it longer as we haven't seen a one-year achievement in quite a while. Our last one was MAX/Gnash - Lights Down Low unexpectedly, if this could pull off that camp-in-the-Bottom-15-for-6-months strategy, that would be great for us. Or maybe Bad Liar can do something great. But something for Imagine Dragons.
  • Reviewing our exits, good riddance to Sue Me. Sabrina Carpenter certainly hit a wall with that song as Why and On My Way are much better songs that could've been here. Don't Go Breaking My Heart was such a good song and a great comeback for the Backstreet Boys. Hopefully the rest of DNA can make an accomplishment onto here though it's very unlikely as it was literally a 2018 album, nothing will make it on, right? (insert Shallow re-entry here)

  1. (NOTE: Blogger was bugging while I was writing this post so Panic! At The Disco - Hey Look Ma, I Made It should be in purple, not dark green.)
